The morning text is taken from Galatians 3 1 through 9.

Oh foolish Galatians, who is bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed

as crucified.

Let me ask you only this.

Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith?

Are you so foolish?

Having begun with the spirit, are you now ending with the flesh? Did you experience so many things

in vain if it really is in vain? Does he who supplies the spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law or by hearing with faith?

Thus Abraham believed God and it was reckoned to him as righteousness.

So you see that it is men of faith who are the sons of Abraham. And the scripture foreseeing that God would justify

the Gentiles by faith preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, in you shall all the nations be blessed.

So then, those who are men of faith are blessed with Abraham who had faith.

The word of God now for us from this text this morning I think can be put in this way.

Anybody in this room, whether Jew or Gentile, rich or free, male or female,

white, black, brown, quick-witted, slow-witted, old, or young, anybody here can be a child of

Abraham. be a child of Abraham and inherit the blessing promise to Abraham and his descendants if and

only if you will live by faith.

The main point is stated in verse 7 and in verse 9.

And between those verses, you have Old Testament support from which those verses are inferred.

The structure is very simple.
