0:25.2	Thomas Reed is an important figure in the Scottish alignment, but not a lot of people know him,
0:30.0	so I'm very excited about this new volume, but let me tell you a bit about Dr. Barram.
0:34.1	James Barram received his BA in Classics

0:38.3	his MA in the History of Science
0:40.2	from Harvard University,
0:41.5	and his PhD in the History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Notre Dame.

0:49.8	the title of his doctoral dissertation which was Teleological Realism in Biology, which argued that
0:56.4	eminent teleology, value, and agency are real things.
1:00.3	Their objective realities and living systems.

1:07.0	He's working on a book called The Emergence of Freedom,
1:10.0	the Sciences and the human spirit after Darwin,
1:13.1	which he promises will offer a comprehensive refutation
