Fox News, billionaires. How does democracy work when a billionaire owns a major

media outlet that as much as a quarter of the country exclusively watches and

then basically skews the news aggressively. We'll get to that. We've got a real

problem with the media in this country and the core of the problem is that the

media is incapable it seems of reporting on actual news. Instead they just go for scandal, celebrity, and horse race.

That's the bottom line, scandal, celebrity, and horse race.

And my question is, what do we do about this?

How can we address this? It seems to me like, you know, some of the solutions include

breaking up some of the media monopolies and whatnot, but to start out, for example, on Sunday night, 60 Minutes played an interview between Anderson Cooper and

Alexandria Acasio Cortez.

And in this interview, she very reasonably and rationally laid out the fact about a

top tax rate of 70% which is by the way below where it was when Ronald Reagan came

into office was 74% when he came into office.

There's an element where yeah, people are going to have to start paying their fair share
