Good morning. It's three minutes after ten and it's only Tuesday, can you believe it? My goodness me.

I think that the weeks during this election campaign are going to be rather longer than perhaps the calendar suggests.

Coming up on the program today, Trump has more trust in Putin than his own advisors, according

to a new expose by a White House insider. I presume no one's fainted at that revelation.

The worst thing that could happen to middle-class Akado shoppers has

happened to a couple who understandably wish to remain anonymous. Can you work out what

that might be? I shall reveal all in the course of the program.

Quite a worrying warning from NHS chiefs this morning. Nine out of ten hospital

bosses in England fear that understaffing across

the service has become so severe that patient health could be damaged. We'll do what we always do,

I think, today with topics such as this, which is confine the conversation to doctors and nurses.

I'm a bit weird like that. I appreciate that the modern media is obsessed with vox pops, whereby you stick a microphone under the nose of somebody who knows not of what they speak, and then treat their ill-considered and very often utterly uninformed position on a whole array of subjects as if it is somehow important and gospel truth.

It only recently discovered the benefits of confining conversations on some subjects, by no means all,

to people who actually know what they're talking about.

So when it comes to the question of whether or not hospitals are so short of doctors and nurses

that patient safety is under threat, we will ask people

at the cold face, the metaphorical cold face, what that actually means in real terms.

And I'm conscious of not scaremongering, but I do like that story.

And if you were to look at the NHS and the welfare state as the two finest creations

that this country has ever countenanced, you'd probably like me, be slightly worried to see

another tale about the other side of our civilization here in the United Kingdom, suggesting
