There is a meme floating around and you've probably seen it and it's a picture of that door that

flew off or flew open of the Boeing plane and it says when one door closes another door opens and then it gives the credit to

Boeing and there was another Boeing incident this week and what it what it calls to

mind is that we're no longer going to be able to take for

a very long time that we're no longer going to be able to take for

granted.

And that is the result.

So you assume there is a certain quality control at, say, Boeing, when you put your life into their hands and get into this

little capsule and go thousands of feet up in the air at a high rate of speed

where if it crashes you're going to die. That's a level of trust that you

place in the manufacturer of this vehicle and you've always most people have never thought twice about it.

John Madden wouldn't do it he traveled in a bus.

The statistics will reveal very clearly that for number of hours you fly and

number of hours you're on the road it is way safer to be in a plane it's just

that there's a feeling of helplessness. But if you're going to end up just as dead, just as dead, graveyard dead on a bus, it doesn't matter that before you ended up dead you might have had a moment where I don't know I don't know what the difference is but I get it there's a feeling of helplessness of being in a plane and somehow that's considered worse in dying when your John Madden bus is

traveling across the country. But this speaks to the issue of things we took

for granted and that was that there was quality control in the

manufacture and maintenance of airplanes so that we didn't have to waste brain power worrying over

whether this plane was going to suck somebody out of their seat, whether the wing was going to fall off,

whether it was going to nose dive and crash because they lied on the application

that this was an actual change in the in the plane's craft but they didn't want to because
