One of the things that gives me great hope is you. I want you to think about where you are today

versus where you were even a year ago and four years ago and ten years ago.

You have changed.

Think about this. A lot of you will send me emails, moms and dads, bragging on your boy,

but in some cases, girl, that they've become a United States Marine, that they went in the Army, they've joined

the Air Force, they've gone in the Navy.

More often than not, it's the, for our listeners. It has tended to be the Marines first and then the Army and then the Navy and then the Air Force and some in the Coast Guard. I would say if I were ranking them that's what I've heard from the most.

In fact a young man who we consider our own family his mother was involved in helping us raise our

children she was a tutor for my kids mrs. T mrs. T as we call her

David Burton is his name he is a Marine Corps recruiter now in Katie Texas and I get emails from people

say hey my son wants to talk to the Marines and I forward them to him. We watched him, we flew out in San Diego to watch him graduate. I'm not

a lot of tears streaming down my face. This young man was a high school senior

we were going to his high school football games just a matter of

weeks ago and now look at him in his marine core dress uniform on the parade grounds.

For those of you who've been to that graduation ceremony

you talk about pomp and circumstance

Holy Wow that is something to behold.

And there's your boy, he's not my son,

but I mean, I kind of see him as part of my family

to witness that sort of thing. But when your kid comes out of that academy to that boot camp,

they've changed, haven't they? For those of you who came back from Vietnam, and there's still a lot of you listening who did,
