Acts 2:14-21 - But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words. 15 For these people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. 16 But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel: 17 “‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; 18 even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy. 19 And I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke; 20 the sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood, before the day of the Lord comes, the great and magnificent day. 21 And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’

| 0:10.8 | Stop for a moment and answer this question in your own heart. |
| 0:15.1 | What is the last promise you were made that you actually received? |
| 0:21.0 | And how did it feel to have that promise come true in your life? |
| 0:25.2 | Today we're going to look at an instance of God making a promise |
| 0:29.6 | and God fulfilling that promise. |
| 0:31.6 | And by the way, my brothers and sisters, if God makes a promise, |
| 0:35.3 | He always delivers on that promise. |
| 0:38.0 | Amen. |
| 0:38.7 | Don't ever doubt that truth. |
| 0:40.8 | God is not a man that he should lie. |
| 0:43.8 | The scripture says he is truthful. |
| 0:46.8 | He is consistent and reliable and always fulfills his word. |
| 0:51.9 | We've got to fight sometimes in life to keep that belief, |
| 0:55.5 | that truth alive in our lives because circumstances can make us think God is slow |
| 1:00.4 | in keeping his promise that God is not coming through like he said he would. |
| 1:05.5 | But my friends, the ticking of the clock and the fact that we have to wait |
| 1:09.7 | sometimes does not mean God is not fulfilling his promise. |
| 1:13.4 | He is doing it in the perfect timing. |
| 1:16.1 | Not a minute too soon, not a moment too late. |
| 1:19.4 | All right, we're going to read in Acts chapter 2 verses 14 through 21. |
