Things have really changed. It is 30 degrees colder than yesterday this time.

It feels like 35 degrees colder because of the wind.

In fact, the wind is blowing at my back right now.

I think the real feel is around 27 degrees, the wind chill index, 27.

And as long as the wind is at my back, I'm okay.

The problem is I'm going to have to turn around at some point and head back to the house.

Two days ago, it was so nice that Ava and I went for a five-mile walk in the afternoon. I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

I've got, let's see, one, two, three layers.

Top layer is my winter coat from Maryland.

I'm wearing gloves, rarely wear gloves when I'm out walking.

And I've got this hat ski cap combination that Ava gave me for Christmas that I determined

I was only going to wear when it was really cold.
