Hey guys, welcome to the show. Today I have a very special guest, Megan Alman. She was on the stand to reason tour with me and her talk was on abortion and Megan is an award-winning journalist

Welcome Megan Alman. Oh it's so good to see you Beckett long time no see right? I know it's been like what

a month since I saw you last just a few weeks yeah in Augusta Georgia

so before we get into the issue of abortion I don't think we ever talked about this when we're doing the Stand to Reason tour, but what even drew you to this particular issue?

Yeah, good question. People, it was people.

And to explain that, when I was really little,

anything I did dealt with people, I wanted to I wanted to draw people. I'm an artist so I liked to draw and that was always my subject. I didn't want to draw landscapes I wanted to draw people.

When I read stories it was always a character that I connected with or a

biography that I would get into and that just kind of stuck with me all the way

through my school years and so when I was working as a newspaper reporter

interviewing people and telling their stories I wrote a lot of feature stories and

profiles as a as a. I went to cover an event where the man that I worked for now was the speaker and that was Scott Kluzendorf who is the president of Life Training Institute.

So he was making a case for the pro-life view

and he was talking about things like what it means to be human.
