welcome back to another Spanish connection podcast where we're connecting you to

the Spanish speaking community I'm Dave Spencer, your host,

and we're glad to be back with another great podcast.

Muy-mibian, in this episode,

all I'm going to do is give you a bold, fresh new perspective and

approach because I've been away from the podcast for a while.

It's been a while and I apologize about that.

I've had a lot of things going on in my life, all good, but it's been demanding all my time and occupying

a lot of my life.

At the end of last year, I had, my principal came to me and said, hey, I need you to lead the Spanish department from now on because I think you're my guy.

And I said really?

And he said yeah.

And so I stepped into that role and it's been great.

And I've been working with all my new young people and I got a great team of people at my school

that I'm working with and they're a little bit green and a little bit inexperienced, but what they lack in experience, they make

up for enthusiasm and attitude, and they're just a terrific crew. So a little shout out to my high school

crew that I'm working with.

The other thing is that I was asked this summer to take part in a special thing and what I've

been asked to do is become a part of the World language professional network of teachers, which basically

what we're doing is we are writing curriculum and giving new policies and implementing strategies

and procedures for teachers across the entire state of Delaware. And I was that and I feel
