I thought I understood manifestation.

I was doing all the journaling, all the visualizing, staying positive, and still felt stuck,

broke, and unfulfilled.

And it wasn't until I completely unlearned everything that I was doing and I thought that I knew

that things finally started to click.

And the first key is that manifestation starts with self-awareness,

not with vision boards. Now, I'm all for visualizing and cutting out images and putting them

up on a wall. I even actually do that stuff because I believe in the power of visual reinforcement.

I believe in the power of seeing the thing you want,

getting close to it,

touching it,

smelling it,

feeling it,

experiencing that energy and reminding yourself.

I love having visual reminders.

But manifestation doesn't start with a visual reminder or a vision board.

It starts with self-awareness.

And this could be around your money, around your purpose, around a relationship.

But Dr. Tara Swart, an inspiring neuroscientist, says that you attract people based on their

psychological wounds.

For me, that blew my mind when I heard that.
