New York, as a convention convention was a real boost to his candidacy and his legitimacy as a serious

candidate and not, you know, some guy that just, you know, fell off a turnip truck from Georgia.

Cut both your legs off to carry a ward in the books. Pat Sweeney was a burly man and the assistant majority leader for the Ohio House of

Representatives. He was also twice a boxing champion.

He was an alternate at his Parties Convention in New York City in 76,

and he drove from Ohio to get there in his least 1976 Monte Carlo.

He parked on 26th Street, few blocks from where the convention would occur in front of an apartment he was staying.

The day before the convention was to start, he went on and got lunch, and when he came back,

he saw that there was a man in his car.

He had busted the window and he was robbing him of a camera that was in the backseat.
