You are listening to a Clark's World Magazine podcast with your host and narrator Kate Baker.

Greetings Clark's World Citizens. I hope this podcast finds you well.

This is our second story for the month of December 2023, issue 207.

Stories like these aren't possible without your support.

So please, if you aren't already doing so, go to Patreon.com forward slash Clark's world so we can make up some of the

income that Amazon has sort of taken away from us when they've had some program

changes. To those of you who are supporting the magazine financially,

or you're telling a friend about the story, if you can't do it financially, thank you so much. We can't do

this without you. So our second story is titled 13 ways of looking at a cyborg.

And it's by Samara Oman.

Samara is a speculative fiction writer who lives in the mossy Pacific Northwest with her husband

and two appropriately mischievous cats. She believes the Pacific Northwest to be one of the most

delightfully uncanny places on the planet. Her work has previously appeared in venues like Clarks's World Diabolical Plots and the anthology

Crimson Bones.

If you like what you hear, you can go back to The Welk.

So my dear listener, I hope that you can sit back relax and let me tell you a story

She lay there her her still form, prickled with dew, the metal casing of her cybernetics caught in the dim glow of the sun's

easeful rise.

But all too quickly the light shifted from a pink-on- bronze sheen to a mere glimmer to a light that once had been.

As Murrell once had been, as brief a life, as brief a light, as a sunbeams on her mirrored surface.

Alive then, but now dead? Was she a corpse only, laying a nerd upon her green lawn.

A hop, another five hops from her porch railing to her once beloved form, still beloved, wherever she might be.
