And things have escalated quickly. What started as a seemingly random, out-of-nowhere accusation against Katie Perry has now turned into a police investigation with that.

I'll have to admit, I didn't think this was going to go very far.

And I was, I'm sorry, initially kind of dismissive based on the reporting and the accusations.

Roads police are actually investigating Katie Perry for a sexual assault that was

over a decade?

From 2010.

Rose, did we see this coming?

16 years ago, I didn't see this coming, and I'm sure many of you who are listening,

might have seen some of the headlines that Ruby Rose, actress Ruby Rose, was making this very

specific and fairly disgusting accusation against Katie Perry. We actually covered it in Morning

Run yesterday, but we thought that was it. You know, maybe an internet beef, Ruby Rose is

mouthing off. She certainly is known to be very vocal about

sexual assault and certainly discussing things that have happened to her over the years as an actress.

So it just seemed like maybe that was it. Katie Perry's team responded, we're done. Nope. Now,

Victorian detectives, according to Australian Broadcasting Company, are investigating allegations by Ruby Rose that she was sexually assaulted by Katie Perry in a Melbourne nightclub back in 2010.

This came from a random.

And again, we say random because Ruby Rose did not go on to her social media accounts and decide to start.

She didn't put out some big announcement.

She didn't say, hey, everybody, look at me.
