I'm Chuck Todd Kasp.

After suffering two on-camera health scares in his many months,

Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell is saying he has no plans to

retire before his term is up in 2027 or even step down from his leadership role at all at

least for this Congress. That doesn't mean this calendar year.

It means this Congress.

McConnell, who will be 84, by the way, at the end of his term,

said he had no other unreported freeze-up incidents.

But his assurance has added to a short doctor's note

his office release this week did very

little damp and growing concerns that he is mentally physically fit to lead the conference

in the Senate.

Meanwhile House Republicans are debating a possible impeachment inquiry against President

Biden despite several Republican members saying publicly they're still not convinced they have any

evidence the president has done anything wrong or at least done anything that reaches

impeachable status. So how crazy is the

Capitol Hill going to get and is it going to, are we going to pay attention?
