I would say the Israeli-American official, the plan is to basically make people despair,

make people routinize the massacre of Palestinians, civilians and children,

to the point where people just shrug their shoulders and move on and pretend that there's nothing going on,

there's nothing that could be done. This will continue. And that is exactly what

they want. They want people to rutanize the killing and the massacre of Palestinians. It's absolutely

shocking and disgraceful.

Hi, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the Makhtasi Street podcast. My name is Sadie

Makdasi, and I'm joined by my brothers

Usama and Karim. And today we're just doing a roundup of where things stand. We're recording in early

September. The latest news as of last night was the Israeli bombing of the Mawesi's so-called safe zone,

their own self-declared safe zone in central Gaza.

They dropped, I think, three mark 84, 2,000-pound bombs.

If anybody doesn't know what a 2,000-pound bomb does,

you should look at some of the video footage or just still photo footage coming out of Moasi.

2,000 pound bombs are what they sound like they are.

They create enormous damage.

The craters that they leave are probably 30, 40 feet deep, maybe 3, 400 feet in diameter.

They're enormous blasts. These bombs were dropped

on people on a packed refugee tent city. People, whole families living in tents. Three of these bombs

are dropped on them. Dozens and dozens of people who were killed. All the bodies coming out are mostly women and children, as usual.

Not that killing civilian men is any more acceptable, mind you, but, and there we are.

And it's like we've been, this has been going on now almost for a year.
