First, I want to start out by sending my prayers and my deepest condolences

to the families of those who have lost loved ones due to Hurricane Helene, a natural disaster that was so overwhelming

and unexpected that it has left devastation in its wake in North Carolina, of course, Tennessee and other

states across the South. I want to say that my heart is breaking for you. I wish

that I was there so I could be reporting

from the ground with you.

I hope I get an opportunity to go there.

And I want you to know that every single night

I am going to be saying my prayers for you.

Right now the death toll has topped at 125 people.

The crisis apparently is unfolding in Western North Carolina,

where residents have been stranded by

washed out roads and I don't know if you guys saw this but people were

rescuing animals off of rooftops. There's more than 600 people still missing.

It is just a absolute nightmare. than 600 people still missing.

So everyone out there, let's all get our prayers together.
