in the Orangeburg County town of Norway now, a disturbing discovery in a home today, a man's body found in a freezer.

One of the stranger's stories so far of the New Year happened just a few days into January in a rural area of South Carolina.

I'm joined by Julia Kaufman, a reporter at WLTX News 19 in Columbia, South Carolina.

Julia, this case has a few bizarre twist to it.

Yes, bizarre indeed.

So this story first began on January 3rd.

So on a Sunday, a group of young adults, 18 to 20 years old, were out four-wheeling. And they

decided to go check out this abandoned house that they had heard through other people that was

haunted. So that's why they went to this house to see for themselves if it's really haunted,

if they found or heard anything. And to their surprise, once they got to the house,

which is back on a dirt road, you can't see it from the main road. It's very secluded.

Once they got there and they started poking around, one of the people actually opened a deep

freezer that was on the back porch of the abandoned home,

and they found what looked to be a decomposing body inside the freezer.

I mean, this has all the elements of, like, a horror movie poking around a haunted house

and finding a freezer, and I have a lot of questions.

So if it's abandoned, the freezer wasn't

hooked up, was it? No. So that's the very interesting and just sort of bizarre part about this,
