I used to look up at the moon with my dad. He loved talking about it.

He would sit beside me and point at the moon.

Doesn't it look like a face? That's the moon, son. You can always see him up there, with those crater eyes

watching over us little people of Earth. There's a whole other side to him that we can't

see way down here. Only the spaceman that have walked

on the moon have seen what's on the back of his head. The dark side of the moon.

I can still hear my dad's voice echoing through my head and I've been looking at

the moon more than ever lately. I've always had a fascination with the big space rock

hanging over us.

That interest and that passion has led me all the way to my career as an astronaut.
