There is on Netflix right now a World War II series.

I think it's five or six episodes and it's called Road to Victory I think. There's always so much

focus on the European theater but I am also incredibly interested in Japan.

I have a lot of respect for the Japanese warriors and their culture.

And it's not me, this isn't the type of person I am,

but I can have some level of admiration or acknowledge a degree of respect for the fact that they had

an emperor for 2,600 years and that was their homeland and they'd never been invaded and that was important to

them and the Kamikaze mindset.

There is one heartbreaking moment in the series where they talk about the Americans are we're

approaching toward Japan and we have we have to dismantle their military so that we won't be continuing this battle.

And at the beginning you couldn't stop the Japanese.

Their flag was all over. They show their flag on was all over you know they show their flag on on the various countries

and the Americans slowly but surely are beating them back and there has to be a

win at Saipan and there is and then you go to Okinawa which half of Chad's family is is

originally from Okinawa and of course you know about the lifting of the flag

and IRA Hayes and and Okinawa has such a special

I would you miss Okinawa I think so now you've got me wondering when I start wondering I'm not good but anyway

we we have to hoist a flag at Okinawa we have to take Okinawa because that gives

us the last island hop to get to Japan with the length of the bombers and from there

We're going to win the war although there's going to be a very bloody invasion.
