In a week that seems 10 days old, but I guess we're only in a fifth day here.

It's late Thursday afternoon, December 20th.

This is Daniel Horowitz, by the way, in case you didn't hear from the tone of my voice.

The truth is, I'm actually kind of invigorated.

I don't know why. Sometimes you maybe hit rock bottom where you mourn and you're ready to move on.

We knew we were going to lose the jailbreak bill vote a long time ago.

Heck, at least we got 36 no votes in the house.

We feared we'd only get three or so.

So, you know, that is one thing we'll get into.

But man, what a week. I'll just tell you the one good thing.

See, everyone's asking me, Daniel, say something positive.

Okay, well, let's come out with some things positive.

Well, first of all, the one positive thing I said was that you might have an easy Christmas break if you're an activist now because they're caving on everything.

Well, the bad news on that, but it might be good news on policy.
