I'm Gail.

And I'm Charlene.

And we are here at one of our local libraries again. It's a

strangely misty, chilly, weird day outside. So it wouldn't have been a great day to record at the

Young River. And if there are some voices coming from the background, it's almost after school time,

so there might be a little ambient noise.

Yeah, probably we have local high schools and elementary schools not far from here, so I'm imagining.

He's like Philip. All right, what are you wearing? I am wearing a cardigan that I am very excited to talk about. Gail and I both finished this one a

couple of episodes ago, but I haven't been wearing it much and I put it on today and I realized

I must wear this all the time. It's gorgeous. This one is called the sun salutation and it is by Celia

Cahill. As I mentioned, this is a pattern that both Gail and I have knit. It's an open front

cardigan. Interesting tidbit, the pattern is written in two different gauges for the same sweater.

So you knit the top of the sweater, the yoke and the shoulder area.

You knit that at a firmer gauge so that that part of the cardigan holds its shape better and then once you get

about below the yoke area you switch to a larger gauge so the fabric is a little bit more open and it's a little more flowy and you when you get to that part

you also add stitches a little bit on the back and a little bit on the front so it's almost

almost like a pleat it's not really a pleat but you get a little extra fabric so that the

cardigan really just drapes nicely once you get to the bottom part of the cardigan.

I really love the look of it.
