| 0:00.0 | Hello and welcome to the Yarniaks podcast. |
| 0:12.2 | This is episode number 218, which we are recording on Wednesday, May 6th, 2020. |
| 0:19.1 | I'm Gail. |
| 0:20.0 | And I'm Charlene. And we're once again recording from our custom home studios |
| 0:24.8 | in my closet, in other words. Although I am not recording in my little setup that I used last time. As I was |
| 0:34.7 | telling Gail before we started, I think I jinxed it because I said, |
| 0:38.9 | okay, we've finally found the perfect setup. And of course, what happened? This week, |
| 0:46.2 | my computer died. Oh. So now I am recording the same way. |
| 0:55.0 | However, I am at a desktop computer instead of my personal laptop, which is no more. |
| 1:05.0 | How is that affecting your Zoom life? |
| 1:09.0 | Well, I don't really know yet. It just happened yesterday. I probably |
| 1:15.6 | won't be zooming as much because it's really difficult to use Zoom, for example, on a phone, |
| 1:24.3 | because the pictures of people are smaller than postage stamps. So what I've found is that if I bring |
| 1:32.6 | the phone close enough so that I can actually see the people so that they're bigger than |
| 1:38.1 | postage stamps, then everybody is looking at a close upup of my nose and mouth. |
| 1:55.6 | So it's not that attractive of a look, and my desktop computer does not have a camera on it. |
| 2:01.3 | So I guess zooming is going to be a little bit different for me. |
| 2:05.9 | Well, hopefully you'll be able to replace the laptop fairly quickly. |
| 2:07.8 | Yeah, I hope so. |
| 2:13.2 | As I was telling, Gail, it's actually an almost 10-year-old laptop, |
| 2:17.2 | so I'm not entirely surprised. |
| 2:19.8 | It served me well. |
