Summary
There is a lot of knitting going on! Gayle and I were both energized and inspired by the many beautiful sweaters we saw last month at Stitches West. Unfortunately, that doesn't translate into faster knitting, just longer queues!
This episode, at about 33:00 minutes in, when Boo the cat enters the room, you might hear the bird say "Eek a cat!" Gayle starts laughing and of course, hilarity ensues. This is real life. We hope the guest appearance will enhance your enjoyment of the episode. :)

| 0:20.1 | And it's a beautiful, stormy yet great. The skies are just |
| 0:24.9 | beautiful here today. Gray layers of clouds and fog. It's just been so pretty. And it was a good |
| 0:31.9 | backdrop for the Finches who are trying to nest in the light fixture on our front porch again. |
| 0:38.6 | It's an old Moroccan sconce that's made of leather that's been ripped. |
| 0:43.6 | So there's a whole, it's like a triangular funnel shape. |
| 0:46.7 | And there's a hole at the bottom. |
| 0:47.9 | Well, the finches have nested in there twice. |
| 0:50.4 | And they've been, you know, investigating and trying to decide if they were going to nest again. |
| 0:56.6 | And I thought, you know, with the hole in the bottom of the scones like that, they'd be foolish to make a nest there. |
| 1:01.3 | So I went in God my leftover Cascade 220 non-superwash from a hat I knit recently. |
| 1:08.6 | I unraveled the ball and I shoved the yarn in the bottom of the |
| 1:12.4 | light fixture and they came back and they are building a nest on top of the yarn. So seeing |
| 1:18.4 | this, I have a picture that I'll put on the show notes, but the gray sky in the background with |
| 1:24.3 | the red Moroccan scones, the pink yarn spilling out, and the little |
| 1:28.5 | finch sitting on the edge was super cute. |
| 1:31.3 | And that's the contrast to the hawks that have a nest at the back of our house. |
| 1:36.5 | So we are in bird heaven lately. |
| 1:38.5 | Yeah, we have a hedge that sits in front of the big window at the yarn store where I work. |
