The good news is that Aaron Boone finally did something that I wanted him to do,

that you, Sean, wanted him to do, that Tommy wanted him to do,

that basically every Yankee fan begged and pleaded for him to do,

which was look into the eyes of his starting shortstop and say, no, you're not playing today and you're not playing tomorrow. And so we saw for the

first time, I know he hasn't played every single game, but for the first time this year, this manager

showed a pair. He benched Anthony

Volpe. And I think this is something we may see more of over the next month and a half.

And while this may not translate into winning 10 out of 12 or then beating the Red Sox when

they see them again in a couple of weeks, I thought it was much needed. And I thought it was

at least a great positive

that the Yankee fan should take going into this series against Washington. They finally told

their prized shortstop, enough's enough. And they sat his ass down on the bench. Are you happy,

Sean? No, because they didn't commit. They did not commit, Evan. They can't even commit to a benching. Well, but what do you want him to do? Say he's not going to play forever? Play forever.
