Hello, it's once again, the Saturday Daily Fantasy Special Podcast.

0:14.5

Happy New Year, everybody, because it is Saturday, as I mentioned, and it is January 1st.

0:19.0

We made it 2022.

0:20.5

Shout out to you. Shout out to 22. Shout out to you, shout

0:21.3

out to me. Shout out to TJ Hernandez, who of course is with me from 4-4-4, TJ. How's it going,

0:26.6

buddy? Good. Welcome to Week 17. Welcome to 2022. And this new age of going deep or at least

0:33.5

halfway through January with our regular season. We still got another week. I got to tell you,

0:37.5

buddy, I was not like, I knew this was coming. Obviously, we've all known forever, but I was not prepared

0:44.3

to like stop giving a damn about, like not stop giving a damn about fantasy football once like a couple

0:50.4

days after Christmas was here. Yeah. It's, uh, once. Yeah, no, I, I think we're definitely like mentally conditioned to finish like, like New Year's days, basically always kind of been the end of our year or around there. Definitely a little shock to the system to be still going strong. Alas, no one cares though. It's also, this is like the fattest slate ever too, because we know we have no Thursday night football. There's no Saturday games. I guess I'll ask you right off the top, does that change anything for you in terms of being like, you know, obviously I assume there's going to be a few games that are extremely popular and stuff like that, but does it change things for you like going down the fringes to any of these like less exciting games or are you still

1:28.2

just kind of playing the hits here kind of similar look at at a slate we have to go all the way back

1:32.3

to week three the last time we had 13 games on the slate before by week started the two things that

1:37.3

really stand out to me are one the the passing game roster rates are going to get really diluted right

1:43.0

so in that week, in week three,

1:45.4

we didn't have any running, I'm sorry, any quarterbacks on more than 15% of rosters. And one of

1:51.8

the big surprises was Josh Allen only ended up on about 5% of rosters. And he was kind of like

1:56.8

the winning quarterback that week. The reason that happens is because similar to this week,

2:01.2

we have six teams projected for between 27 and 29 and a half points according to the Vegas

2:08.4

lines. So we got all of these teams that are projected kind of high, but nobody that is

2:12.7

really separating from the field. And then just because of math, there's only so much roster

2:17.4

rate to go around in these position, right? So we're going to have a ton of these quarterbacks in this like 5 to 11% range. So you're going to get some guys that are in really good spots that just aren't on that many rosters because there's so many games. And then the other thing that I think we will see is we have seen in recent weeks, maybe in the past, I say,

2:36.4

four to six weeks, really stacking games very heavy has been quite profitable, maybe having
