a realtor. She puts a sign out front. She puts it in MLS. Every day you want to know did

anybody show the house? Do we have any contracts? We even have any offers because you're carrying

a note on this house that you don't live in and you're ready to find somebody that wants

to buy it and take it off your hands. It's a little bit stressful. Well, in Houston there

is a growing problem of homes that are vacant being taken over by squatters who refuse to

get out. It's not that they slip in there and you don't know they're there. And when

you catch them, they scurry away like roaches. Oh, no, no, no. They say, we're not leaving

we live here. No, no, you don't. You know you don't. I know you don't. The neighbors

know you don't you don't live here. Get out. Mm-hmm. Well, now we bring you a story from

ABC 13 of a full year of this going on. And the woman who is squatting, Amber Lynn

Prater, she's an H ISD fourth grade teacher. Surprise. Surprise. That a communist, which I don't

know if she is or not, but it sure sounds like she is. See, respect and protection of private

property is at the core of the capitalist system. You don't buy things unless you can take ownership

of them and no one else can take them away from you. You don't invest in the public pool. So

this woman, a fourth grade H ISD teacher. Well, I do it. We'll talk about that after the story,

story ABC 13. Well, they've been working on this frankly since the beginning of the year. The

squatters actually moved into the house. You see right behind me in January, since then they

filed a lot of police reports as well as court reports. We even went to court with them last

month just to show you what happened. And yesterday, the squatters finally were forced to move out

even at the end. They kept on saying they had a lease and they were disappointed. They couldn't
