Paris Metro in a case that only got more and more juicy, as the victim's clever lies were peeled

back for all the world to see. Secrets that also kept her case from ever truly being solved.

On a warm May evening in Paris, a group of individuals stood waiting at the Port Doree metro station, waiting to load themselves onto the carriage. The station was busy

due to an upcoming public holiday, and as two separate groups walked through the doors to the

train's first-class carriage, a military dentist amongst the passengers would note that no one

made any attempts to exit prior to their entry.

Already seated in the carriage was a young woman clad in a green suit,

sitting on the bench with her back turned to the door.

Just as they walked around to take their own seats, the stranger slumped forward and fell to the ground with a loud thump.

It was 6.28 p.m. on May 16th, 1937, and the woman sitting inside the metro, a woman later identified as Letitia Toro, was now lying on the floor,

towing the line between life and death. The dentist who had medical training rushed to the woman's side and saw a knife protruding from her neck,

so deeply embedded that the handle was the only piece visible.

Barely breathing, Letitia attempted to speak to the dentist,

but could not make any of the words come out.
