Summary

In today’s devotional, we’re going to stir up our affections for God by looking at his wisdom. Not only is our God wise, but he longs to share his wisdom with us as his people. Living with true wisdom, true perspective, knowing how to order our desires and our days is one of the real keys to living an abundant life. May we praise God for his wisdom, and ask him with boldness and confidence to share that wisdom with us today.

Our Scripture for today comes from James 1:5, and today's worship is Forever YHWH by Elevation Worship.

Faith doesn’t happen on its own. It’s a byproduct of time spent experiencing the faithfulness of our God. It’s a gift given to us by the Giver of good gifts, himself.

It was a supernatural faith that allowed Paul to sing even while in chains. It was supernatural faith that allowed Peter to proclaim the gospel, even unto death. And it’s supernatural faith that will carry you to and through the greatest gospel opportunities in front of you.

1:10.1	Everything He does is perfect. Every thought and idea He has is filled with complete wisdom.
1:18.2	In what's more, through the Holy Spirit, you have access to that wisdom.
1:23.8	James 1 5 says, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God who gives generously to all without
1:30.8	reproach, and it will be given to him. Your God loves you so much that He's just waiting to
1:39.2	bestow on you His vast wisdom. He never wants you to suffer from a lack of knowledge.
1:47.6	So often, we're taught that God only reveals to us what we absolutely have to know right before
1:54.3	we need to know it. But that's not the truth of Scripture. James 1 5 proves that. Your God
2:01.7	gives His wisdom generously. Not only is the wisdom of God given to you generously if you ask,
2:10.3	but it also has with it incredible attributes. James 3 17 says,
2:17.1	The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason,
2:24.5	full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. The wisdom of God will do incredible
2:32.9	things for your life. With it comes the very nature of God. James 3 17 could just as easily
2:41.0	have said that God is pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits,
