But first, the big idea. To protect President Trump,

the White House is using rapid coronavirus tests desperately

needed by local communities.

Every guest visiting Trump and Vice President Pence is required to undergo the exam each time

they enter the White House since last week. Visitors said they've been

administered the test developed by Abbott Labs at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, the complex across the street

from the West Wing, where Pence has an office and the staff of the National Security Council

is based. Abbott, which says it's now producing 50,000 tests per day, begin giving the White House first

dibs for as many tests as it needs.

One recent visitor noticed administration officials, including a couple members of the cabinet

waiting to get tested and he was told that every visitor would get a test even if

they feel healthy. Outside the White House though the Trump administration

has still not settled on a national testing
