All of this comes as it is really unclear where diplomatic efforts to end this war now stand.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio told lawmakers yesterday that a deal, quote, could happen today.

It could happen tomorrow. It could happen next week. But he cautioned there's no guarantee that it would be

acceptable to the Senate or the American people. And the president was asked in an interview about the

weeks of whiplash and why he seems to be changing his stance on Iran so often. Trump's saying, quote, it's just the way I am.

That's a funny thing to say.
