0:07.6	The winter solstice aligns with so many cultures, traditions, festivities, and also a great many
0:19.1	myths about rebirth and or about someone's birth being really important
0:25.9	and bringing forward some kind of renewal or a resurgence of energy or hope or light, obviously. This is the moment in the northern
0:40.4	hemisphere where the sun's light starts to grow each and every day. So it's also akin, in a way,
0:49.2	to a new moon, because this is the point at which the light is the least but starts to increase.
0:57.2	And from the day of the new moon onward, there's no light to increasing light to the moment
1:02.9	of fullness. And so both the sun and the moon have these cycles of maximum light and then waning into darkness.
1:14.6	And it just so happens that this week, we have both of these things happening at once.
1:20.8	We have the solstice occurring, Capricorn season beginning,
1:25.8	and we have a new moon in Capricorn near days after the solstice.
1:31.8	Both things together feel really potent.
1:35.5	And like a new beginning, there is a clear and distinct mark of something turning a corner.
