Intentional is made up of Philin- and Diane Comer and Brooke and Elizabeth Moser. I am Brooke and the

funny thing is we are all family. Elizabeth is Phil and Diane's daughter so we're a

family figuring this thing out together.

In today's episode, we are going to talk about something that I think anybody can relate to.

A moment when your kid comes to you, maybe asks you a question, hey, can I have a snack or can I watch something and your answer is not what they wanted or expected.

Maybe the answer is no and they push back or they argue.

And I don't know about you guys but I know when that happens to me it tends to like really frustrate me like why are you not

respecting me and so what we want to talk about today is this idea of what do you do when your

kids push back what's the right response and before we get into what to do?

Let's talk about that for a second. Does anyone know the tension that I'm feeling?

Anyone share that? Oh yeah, we tease our kids are two oldest especially and

say that they should most definitely be lawyers when they grow up because they are

so good at very politely pushing back and arguing I was explaining that to Scarlet the other day.

She asked, what's a lawyer? And I explained, they basically get paid to argue.

She thought that would be a great job.
