Today I'm going to begin a series that I've entitled, The War is Over,

and it's actually part of the Christmas story,

the scriptures that are read during this time of the year.

And people have misinterpreted some of the things that the angels said at the birth of

Jesus. And they said, glory to God in the highest and on earth, peace, goodwill towards man.

And people have interpreted that that's peace among man. But I'm going to be showing your

scriptures that that's not what it's talking about. So let me just say that sometimes during

this Christmas season, people take these stories

and they read them and they miss some of the, you know, the really powerful things.

The birth of Jesus is just awesome.

You know, I was studying last week in the book of Revelation and it says that Jesus was the lamb slain from the

foundation of the world. And that just really grabbed me because that means that God knew that

we were going to rebel at him. He knew that sin was going to enter the world. He knew that in order

to reconcile us back to himself, that Jesus would

have to come and literally be slain. And he knew this before he created the world. From the

foundation of the world, Jesus was the lamb that was slain. And I was just thinking about that.

And you know, from our fallen

perspective, every one of us had been corrupted, every one of us had been hurt by other people.

And I was just imagining that if I was in God's place and if I knew that the creation that
