You have your green grapes, you have your purple grapes, and you have your red grapes.

There are even white grapes.

Beautiful thing about it is there are all sorts of graves, all sorts of colors.

And what makes them so pretty is that in one basket, you've got nothing but a spray.

A variety in the fruit bearing. And that is a gorgeous, gorgeous part

of the vineyard. Isaiah chapter 5 I want to read verses 1 through 7.

Do you notice, when you look on your page and will you notice with me that this portion of

scripture is written in what looks like verse, when you look just prior to it in most

of your major translations, it will look more like a paragraph. Do you see the difference?

Because what we're about to see is a song or a psalm. So let me read it to you. It begins in

verse 1, Isaiah 5. Let me sing for my beloved, my love song concerning his vineyard. My beloved had a vineyard on a

very fertile hill. He dug it and cleared it of stones and planted it with choice vines. He built a

watchtower in the midst of it and hoed out a wine vat in it and he looked for it to yield grapes.

But it yielded wild grapes. now o inhabitants of jerusalem and men of judah judge between me and my vineyard what more was there to do for my vineyard than i have done for it

when i looked for it to yield grapes why did it it yield wild grapes? And now I tell you what I will do to my vineyard.

I will remove its hedge and it shall be devoured and I will break down its wall and it shall be trampled down.

And I will make it a waste and it shall not be pruned or hoed and briars and thorns shall grow up. And I will command the clouds

that they will reign no more upon it. For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel,

and the men of Judah are his pleasant planting, and he looked for justice and behold bloodshed,

for righteousness, and behold an outcry. Please notice with me because the coolest thing in the

metaphor, the imagery that we're going to study together, really a parable is a song and a parable.

One of the most majestic things about it is that God is the vineyard owner and he is also the vine dresser. So not only does he own it, he then works the land
