Our series of interviews with socialists running for Congress continues with Anthony Clark.

Anthony is running for Illinois 7th District and it's his second run against a longtime incumbent Danny Davis.

He has a pretty fascinating life history which we discuss at length in this interview,

along with how Bernie Sanders inspired him to run for office, how serving in the military shaped his views on foreign policy and his recent

campaign video in which he smokes weed for which he got a bunch of attention.

So let's start with the basics about your biography. You told me that you're Chicago born and bred, right?

Definitely, definitely, my parents, shout out to them, Ronald and Blanche Clark. and

definitely my parents shout out to them Ronald and Blanche Clark they just had their anniversary the other day

45 years I believe together love them to death yeah so I was born in

Morgan Park south side of Chicago and at the age of five,
