Summary

KANGAROO JACK is a film about a kangaroo named Jack who talks and raps except the trailers completely misled everybody and the kangaroo doesn’t do that except in a dream sequence, and the rest of the movie is a shrill and hellish descent into misery. And that makes it the perfect double feature with WAKE IN FRIGHT, a harrowing (and nearly lost) Australian thriller that was actually SUPPOSED to be a hellish descent into misery.
