0:24.4	today we're going to discuss the truth about mentors, okay? Mentors, mentoring the whole concept of
0:32.5	like, do I need a mentor? Like who can be my mentor? Can you be my mentor? That is a topic that I believe
0:39.6	is widely misunderstood. And I think that the context of it is also misrepresented. And I feel that a lot of
0:50.7	you guys are taking for granted without knowing the resources and abundance of
0:57.7	mentors that you have available to you right now in, I mean, in more, in a higher capacity
1:06.9	than has ever been available throughout the history of time. Now, before we get into that,
1:14.8	and on the same lines of throughout the history of time, I wanted to quickly let you guys know
1:22.8	where the term mentor initially came from. It actually was dry from Greek mythology. A lot of you guys
1:30.1	have heard of Odysseus, right? Odysseus was a legendary Greek king of Ithaca. All right, he was the
1:37.4	star of Homer's The Odyssey. All right. Mentor was a teacher.
1:51.0	He was an old, wise teacher that Odysseus knew for decades.
1:53.3	Odysseus trusted mentor.
1:55.7	He had, he had came up with him.
1:58.1	He had seen mentor do great things.
2:03.9	He had seen mentor help people become just better versions of themselves.
2:12.0	And when Odysseus had to leave to go fight the Trojan War, he assigned mentor to watch over,
2:23.0	develop, educate, and basically take charge of the development of his son, Telemachus, who would one day be
2:30.7	positioned to be a great king as well. Odysseus knew the importance of his son, you know,
2:38.1	being at the level that he essentially set a new standard with and he wanted to ensure that he was doing everything in his power to prepare him for that critical role that he would one
2:44.2	day have to step into and being that Odysseus had a war to go fight, he trusted his good friend mentor to
2:55.0	basically be in charge of his son and help get his son ready to take over the throne. Now,
