Imagine women risking death for showing a few strands of their hair. Imagine a government so afraid of

its people that it silences all kinds of art and entertainment. You have 92 million Iranians

inside Iran and you have who are very different.

The vast majority of them do not support the Islamic Republic.

You're seeing people not just protest for ideological or political reasons, but they're very

much protesting because they can't survive.

How do you recruit somebody into a movement like that when they have no ability to fight

back? They know the consequences. They know what's at stake. Desperation in survival for self

and for loved ones can awaken a sleeping giant.

Is something getting ready to happen?

When we say we live in an electronic world,

it means that everybody is connected. We say we live in an electronic world, it means that everybody is connected.

We say we live in a global economy.

What happens in China or Canada or the U.S. impacts everybody else.

That means the globe is shrinking.

Things that happen in other countries affect what is going on right here at home.

And sometimes we'll read something in the newspaper and think, oh, that happened a long

way away.

It doesn't affect me.

But is that really right?
