A lot of folks have asked the commentary on the Trump case and the truth of the

matter is this is a case of first impression. This is not a case with a great

precedent. This is not a case where you can say well this was how this was

done. This is how this will be done now for a number of reasons. You know you hear

the word unprecedented so often this was unprecedented that it's almost lost

its traditional meaning but when there is no precedent when this has never

happened before you are as Captain Kirk would say going where no man's gone

before. If we launch a spaceship to Mars no one's been on Mars you can make

educated guesses as to what's going to be on the surface and what we might find.

But beyond that and there will be people who will offer lots of commentary

because the more definitive the more certain the more boisterously you make a

claim as if it is fact the better for the entertainment that that is disguised

as news Donald Trump will be indicted and he will be in prison by the end of the

year. Well nobody comes back the end of the year to see if that was true. That

guys moved on to five more outrageous claims. I don't do that and I'm not going to do

that but if you wanted my gut of where we are in the Trump case I would first say this

is not a prediction I make with absolute certainty it'll come true. This is a

very very rough estimate as to what I think we're going to see in the

relative short term. These cases are not based in law I'm certain of that I've

done enough review to be certain of that they're not based in law the case in

New York under Fat Alvin Bragg the case in George the case in DC the case in

Southern Florida they're not based in law and that doesn't matter they are
