0:33.5	someone who's been in and around the world of current affairs and politics since the late 80s when he read the news on the radio in Northern Ireland and was a reporter on today, the BBC Radio 4 programme.

0:48.9	He's hosted Newsnight and written multiple books, but is maybe best known for jumping around the swingometer
0:55.0	on election nights for hosting his hugely popular show on Radio 2, for presenting eggheads

1:07.0	Indeed, debates which Gemma and I frequently take part in, which is why today is going to be interesting as we get to ask him the questions, which in turn means perhaps testing whether he can remain as unbiased as his BBC contract requires him to be. We are delighted to welcome our friend Jeremy Vine.

1:34.1	It's a long intro. It is, yeah. I think it's great having a jam-packed life like that. We only

1:50.7	about Jeremy trawlers, okay? And it's also something that I found out in a very, very interesting
1:56.2	moment in time. So Jeremy played the drums in a band called The Flaired Generation of which his brother,
2:04.0	Tim Vine, the comic, was also a member. Now, Smash Hits magazine described them as the most
2:10.3	unfashionable punk band in the country. In Sheem, I think it was even worse. There you go. And listen,
2:16.5	I only discovered that Jeremy could play the drums.
