In dating, we're always told to look for chemistry, attraction, compatibility, but no one really

talks about the trait that actually determines whether a relationship will last.

Because I used to focus on how someone made me feel in the moment.

Fun, exciting, wanted.

But feelings are easy.

What's rare is someone who can own their impact, repair when

things go wrong, and not make you carry the emotional weight of the relationship alone.

And the better question is, are we overlooking the one green flag that actually predicts

everything else? that's accountability.

And that's what we're digging into today.

But I do think accountability is like one of the boasts green flags, if not the greenest flag.

Because I've seen so many relationships fall apart completely when that's not there.

Yep. And what is accountability? Because that's a word that gets thrown around and people go,, vulnerability, all the illities. It's like, what is the accountability? I think about accountability in a few different ways, but one way I found that you can really learn if someone's accountable or not's the way they talk about their previous relationship.

I love this little gauge. If they're like, my ex is terrible, they did all the wrong things,

they made me feel awful, they're the ones that left or they're the ones that really ruined the relationship, that's someone not taking accountability. No matter how awful the last relationship was and how awful their ex was, you always have some responsibility in that relationship ending. And if they took no accountability for that, this is a person who pushes accountability on other people.

A hundred percent. I think like it's a huge red flag when someone like can't acknowledge
