After leaving her workplace, 20-year-old Laurie Dept has drives to her boyfriend's apartment

complex and parks her car before she vanishes without a trace.

Even though witness has heard her vehicle pull into the lot,

the U-N-O-T report hearing or seeing anything unusual and the only evidence is a cup of soda

left on top of the car's roof. 18 years later, I convicted Ken Napper named Larry DeWain Hall

confesses to abducting and murdering Laurie, the no-corroborating evidence is found to support his

story and Laurie remains a missing person. After that, the trail went cold.

Hello everyone and welcome to our latest episode of The Trail,

went cold. I'm your host, Robin Warder and today we're going to be exploring an odd missing

person's case, the 1992 disappearance of Laurie Dept. This case was suggested to me about two

years ago by a listener named Beth and it's one of those frustrating disappearances where it seems

like the victim literally just vanished into thin air. Right before she went missing,
