Straussburg, Pennsylvania.

Authorities arrive at the burning home of Edward Maps to discover that his wife Pristine

has been bludgeoned to death, and their four-month-old daughter Julie Louise has died of smoke

inhalation.

However, Edward Maps himself has disappeared.

After a warrant is issued for his arrest, Maps is placed on the FBI's 10 Most One List,

but he is never found.

Decades later, allegations surfaced that someone else was responsible for the murders, and

Edward Maps might have actually been a victim.

After that, the trail went cold.

I am your host Robin Warder, and we've got a pretty unique case to cover today.

As you probably know, I often make mention of the Unsolved Mysteries message board at the

sitcoms online forum.

I frequent that place a lot, and have taken a few suggestions for cases to cover from its

members.

Not too long ago, a couple of the posters there suggested doing an episode about a wanted

fugitive who has never been caught, and I thought that was a terrific idea.

The only drawback, however, is that there usually isn't a lot of mystery to analyze in those

stories.

We know who committed the crime, and why they did it, but the only thing we don't know
