My name is David Chen, I'm the managing editor of slash film.com and the host of the slash filmcast,

the official podcast of slash film.com, and joining me today is the man who played Alan

Davenport in Rodrigo Cortez's 2010 film Buried, Stephen Tobolaski.

Stephen, how are you doing today?

Thank you very much.

It's a role that I needed a cell phone for.

Well, you know, so people who don't know what Buried is,

this is a film that premiered, I think,

at the Sundance Film Festival, which I was at,

and I got to see the film.

And it stars Ryan Reynolds.

He plays a guy in a coffin and the entire movie takes place

inside the coffin. So it's very sort of an exercise in filmmaking that I think is pretty impressive and

uh... rhinels happens to have a cell phone conveniently

...
