Fonella and Dinky became fast friends at school mostly due to the fact that they had one

big thing in common. They were both unusually tiny for their species. While there were times

when Fonella and Dinky resented their small stature, there were also times when they adored

being so small. Being closer to the ground meant that they were able to make friends with

a lot of the smaller animals of the forest, like the mice and the bugs, and they had lots

of options of places to hide when they played hide and seek. One day, Fonella the unicorn

and Dinky the giraffe were playing in the shallow waters of a lake. They loved to splash each

other and paddle around amongst the swans and fish whenever the sun was high in the sky.

But little did they know. They weren't the only tiny creatures wallowing in the water
