He's also the Director of Social, Cultural, and Constitutional

Studies at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C.

He serves as the Herzog fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. He is also a senior

editor for the New Atlantis and a contributing editor to National Review. He had previously

served as a member of the White House Domestic Policy Staff under President George W Bush.

He was Executive Director of the President's Council on Bioethics.

He has also served as a staffer in Congress. His essays and articles have appeared in

publications including the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post.
