0:23.6	Mark Chapter 9, starting in verse 14.
0:29.7	When they came to the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and the teachers of law arguing with them.
0:32.4	As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were
0:35.0	overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet him. What are you arguing with them about?
0:40.2	he asked. A man in the crowd answered,
0:44.0	Teacher, I brought my son who is possessed by a spirit
0:46.8	that has robbed him of his speech.
0:49.2	Whenever it seizes him, it throws him into the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid.
0:56.0	I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit but they could not.
1:00.0	You unbelieving generation, Jesus replied,
1:04.0	How long shall I stay with you?
1:06.0	How long shall I put up with you?
1:09.0	Bring the boy to me.
1:11.0	And so they brought him. And when the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw
1:15.8	the boy into a convulsion. And he fell to the ground and rolled around foaming at
1:20.5	the mouth. Jesus asked the boy's father,
1:24.4	how long has he been like this?
1:26.7	From childhood, he answered.
1:29.0	It is often thrown him into the fire or water
1:31.2	to kill him, but if you can do anything, take pity on him and help us.
