Everybody, we are back with another Commission podcast this time by prolific

Commissioner Sean Ray especially dominating the late

Commissions the last of the Classic Comm. He wanted us to watch

1982's The Thing. Science fiction horror film directed by John Carpenter

starring Kurt Russell and a ton of character actors that you will recognize, including Wilford

Brimmley and Keith David as Blair and Childs, respectively. This is the first time I've actually seen this movie.

Oh man.

Which I was worried because I know that this I've heard this is a well-regarded

science fiction horror film and I was worried that with the

1982 that it was going to be hokey and unconvincing and kind of fakey and I'm

not and that that wasn't an unwarranted opinion but I found that it didn't I had

no trouble being immersed into the film and getting caught up with it and

and buying its premise and getting sucked into

the situation which is briefly if you haven't seen the thing, spoilers for a 40 year old movie.
