I'm going to kind of give a little bit of a framework so that we are all on the same page

and understand exactly what we're talking about before we read.

Genesis is the first book of the Bible, and tonight we're going to look at the life of Joseph.

Now Joseph is the 11th son to a man named Jacob.

Jacob has had 10 other kids, and this is his first child with his wife, Rachel.

Now Jacob met Rachel.

This is a great story.

This is how they met.

One time Jacob was coming through this land and he met a man that

had two daughters one was named rachel and the other name was lea and rachel was beautiful to

behold and and jacob's like dang you know it's valet yeah so he goes to the dad and he's like hey uh what

what i got to do to get your daughter the bible says lea, the sister, she had a weak eye and she was ugly.

And so she just did that's what the Bible said.

Don't get mad at me.

It's what the Bible said.

And so, but Rachel was beautiful to behold.

And so he said, what I got to do to get there?

Can I have Rachel?

And so the father said, yeah yeah you can have my daughter if you serve
